Her songs
Created by Elizabeth 11 years ago
Her funeral was held at Easthampstead crematorium and was conducted by Terry Murphy a fire brigade chaplin. We can't thank him enough for the wonderful service he conducted. Two songs were chosen for her funeral which have both been uploaded to this site.
LITTLE WING BY JIMI HENDRIX
Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
That's all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind.
When I'm sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free
It's alright she says it's alright
Take anything you want from me,
Anything.
Fly on little wing,
Yeah yeah, yeah, little wing
NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU BY SINEAD O'CONNOR
It's been seven hours and fifteen days
since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
since you took your love away
since you've been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
but nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues,
'cause nothing compares
nothing compares to you
It's been so lonely without you here
like a bird without a song
nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
tell me baby where did I go wrong?
I could put my arms round every boy I see
but they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor guess what he told me
guess what he told me
he said girl you better try to have fun
no matter what you do
but he's a fool
'cause nothing compares
nothing compares to you
All the flowers that you planted mother
in the backyard
all died when you went away
I know that living with you, baby, was sometimes hard
but I'm willing to give it another try
nothing compares
nothing compares to you
